Video: The most important insights and best parts of the Netflix series “Receiver”

To all the decision makers at Netflix – if you’re reading this for some reason, please move on. After the success of the first season of the Netflix docuseries Quarterback, most NFL fans probably knew that the second season would be well-received. And boy, were they right.

As expected, Receiver has taken the football world by storm. From a production standpoint, everything is in place and the personalities featured on the show speak for themselves. This season featured some of the game’s best receivers, including Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers, and of course the Sun God himself – Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

While it was a more difficult season for players like Jefferson and Adams due to injuries and inconsistent quarterback play, both the 49ers and Lions were able to go far in the postseason, leaving the Netflix crew with no choice in terms of content when deciding what would be included in the final cut.

Overall, Meko and I really enjoyed the series. We rounded up some of our favorite moments, key takeaways, and some of the new things we learned about St. Brown through the show. We also reflected on who we think Netflix should focus on next season, and to be honest – that could probably be its own video.

Let us know in the comments what you think of the show and what you think should be included in the next edition.

As always, don’t forget to like and subscribe to the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel. It really means a lot to us and helps the channel grow as we get closer to training camp.
