Although they have laid out a plan for the franchise and created the first chapter: Gods and Monsters, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to ensure the franchise moves forward in the right direction. Signing stars that are loved by fans everywhere will go a long way in the franchise’s success, and they could do just that by signing this Marvel star – Chris Pratt.

With a new slate of 11 projects (including films and series), the upcoming DC Cinematic Universe is expected to give the Marvel Cinematic Universe some tough competition. James Gunn and Peter Safran know this better than anyone. They are committed to this task and are trying to leave no stone unturned to ensure that the DCU reaches its full potential. After taking some initial steps in this direction, Protector of the Galaxy The director has already turned his attention to casting, and that could mean we might see Chris Pratt in action once again.

One of the many projects that are part of the DCU is Lanterns. The series focuses on the story of Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart, two of the most famous members of the Green Lantern Corps, and looks to form an important part of the universe, possibly even setting up the introduction of galactic villains into the DCU.

No wonder the 57-year-old has been racking his brains over who should be cast in the series. Although he has remained tight-lipped about his selection, he confirmed that the process is in full swing. He has also been in contact with the makers of Lanterns, Chris MundyDamon Lindelof and Tom King.

Although we don’t hear any of the behind-the-scenes talks, there is one name that appears to be leading the race for the role: Chris Pratt.

The “return” of the legendary Star-Lord?

The rumor mill is buzzing with news that Chris Pratt may soon make his DCU debut. This makes perfect sense. Since the return of the legendary Star-Lord is not yet in sight, Parks & Recreation Star could well be in the running for a role in the DCU. A move to the other side seems more likely, given his work with James Gunn for the GOTG Movies.

And what better opportunity than to cast him as Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern? One of the founding members of the Justice League in the comics, Jordan was once a test pilot and later took on the mantle of the Corps. Chris Pratt could be the perfect person to breathe life into him. After all, this wouldn’t be the first time he’s played a character from Earth who rose to fame as a member of the galactic force.
