The Venomous Black Widow! Black Widow and her newly trained symbiote plunge into the Venom War and choose a side! Fresh from her new understanding from the one-shot BLACK WIDOW: VENOMOUS, Widow begins to investigate the gruesome experiments Alchemax has been conducting based on their symbiote program… but she’s not the only one! Natasha’s old teammate from her days with the Secret Avengers, Flash Thompson, now known as Agent Anti-Venom, is also on the case!

“I’m very attached to the characters I work with, so Black Widow is definitely my favorite right now,” Vecchio told AIPT in a recent interview. “We got to rework and tweak her symbiote design, and I took the chance to tie in some of my favorite eras of her publishing history: I continued the vibe of her last solo issue from (Kelly) Thompson and (Elena) Casagrande, while also tying it in with the classic AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #86, where (John) Romita (Sr.) introduced her iconic leather jumpsuit. That issue tied Black Widow into the Spidey mythos in a way we don’t usually think about, and now the symbiote aspect brings things full circle, thematically AND visually.”
