Joe Jonas announces new album “Music for People Who Believe in Love”.

Joe Jonas has announced his second solo album, “Music for People Who Believe in Love,” which will be released on October 18th via Republic Records.

The singer, who cut his teeth as one-third of the Jonas Brothers and found success with his side band DNCE, will release the album’s first single, “Work It Out,” this Friday. He’s been teasing the song for the past month, sharing snippets of it on podcast appearances and performing it live at the Jonas Brothers’ Calgary Stampede show last weekend.

“I am so excited to share my new solo album with you – Music For People Who Believe In Love,” Jonas said in a statement. “This album is a celebration of gratitude, hope and love. These songs reflect my life from a bird’s eye view and honor the many blessings around me.”

Jonas shares that the album is inspired by fatherhood, friendship and happiness. “This album is a reflection and celebration of life,” he said. “I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Enjoy!”

The 34-year-old released his debut solo album, “Fastlife,” in October 2011. The project debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200 before slipping again, and the first single, “See No More,” climbed to number 92 on the Hot 100.

Outside of the Jonas Brothers, he formed DNCE in 2015 and released two EPs and an eponymous album. The latter came out in 2016, debuting at number 17 on the Hot 100 and spawning the hit “Cake by the Ocean,” which peaked at number 9 on the Hot 100.

Most recently, he reunited with his brothers Nick and Kevin for the Jonas Brothers’ “The Album,” which was released last year.

“I am so excited to share my new solo album with you – Music For People Who Believe In Love. This album is a celebration of gratitude, hope and love. These songs reflect my life from a bird’s eye view and acknowledge the many blessings around me.

If we take a moment to breathe, pause, and reflect on the positive, I hope we can find acceptance and ultimately peace in the present moment. It’s OK to cry and grieve a loss – it’s part of the process of taking care of ourselves and ultimately allows us to be there for the people we care about.

This album is about the experiences of being a father, being a friend to yourself and others, and the happiness I have found by making a living doing what I love. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to travel the world and connect with people through my music, and I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented musicians, songwriters, and producers on this project.

A director I once worked with had a handwritten note above his camera while we were shooting that said, “How do you want them to feel?” That question still resonates with me when I go on stage or compose new music. The ability to perform, create a deep connection with the audience, and evoke positive emotions or even healing is a gift I cherish.

This album is a reflection and celebration of life. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Enjoy!

With love and gratitude,
“Joe”
