Gracie Abrams releases new music video for “I Love You, I’m Sorry”: Watch

The track comes from the singer’s latest album, The secret of us

Gracie Abrams surfs through the crowd after receiving the “Asshole of the Year” award in the music video for her song “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” released Wednesday. “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” a song about the highs and lows of heartbreak, is featured on Abrams’ second album. The secret of us.

Before Abrams bursts into the awards ceremony in the video, she appears to be busy with other activities, such as cycling on the beach, leisurely riding in the back seat of a car, or sharing drinks with friends.

“And I’ll have a drink/ Lean out my window wistfully and watch the sun go down over the lake/ It might not feel real, but it’s okay,” she sings.

Abrams made a name for herself with her EP This is how it feels in 2021 and their debut album Goodbye forever in 2023. Abrams spent last summer opening for Taylor Swift’s North American leg of the Eras Tour, and the two collaborated on the fifth track, “Us,” from Abrams’ second album. Rolling Stones Brittany Spanos described The secret of us As “a complex picture of a relationship gone wrong, filled with songs about heartbreak that capture the confusion of dating in your early twenties,” it’s sure to have a strong presence on any sad girl’s summer playlist.
