Emmy nominations 2024: Complete list of nominees

Shogun leads the nominations for the 2024 Emmys, which were announced Wednesday morning. The FX series received 25 nominations, including for best drama series, setting several records in the process.

Also among the top nominees are FX’s The bear (with 23 nominations, a comedy series record), Hulu’s Only murders in the building (21), HBO/Max’s True Detective: Nightland (19) and Netflix’s The crown (18).

Overall, Netflix leads the pack with 107 nominations, followed by FX with 93 and HBO with 91.

Tony Hale, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Television Academy Chairman Cris Abrego announced this year’s El Capitan Theatre nominees in a ceremony that was streamed live. During the livestream, Abrego Abbott Elementary School Star Ralph received the news that she had received another Emmy nomination this year for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, an award she won in 2022.

The 76th Emmys will air live from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on ABC on Sunday, September 15, from 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET. The Creative Arts ceremonies, where most of the Emmy trophies will be awarded, will take place on Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8. A host for the ABC Emmys ceremony has not yet been named, but Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay will executive produce the telecast for the second consecutive year.

The 2023 Emmys were originally scheduled to take place in January 2024, with the ceremony being postponed to 2023 due to the writers and actors strikes and airing on Fox on Monday, January 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. At this event, HBO’s SuccessionFX’s The bear and Netflix beef were the big winners, taking home the top prizes in the drama, comedy and miniseries categories. All three shows also won for screenplay and direction. The 2023 Emmys will honor Succession After the last season, there will be a new winner in the drama category this year.

To be eligible for the 2024 Emmys, television programs had to air between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.
