Daia from Love Island USA on Kordell, Serena and Odell

Love Island USA Viewers may never recover from this reunion after Casa Amor, and according to Star Daia McGheeThe fans have only seen half of it.

Us Weekly recently asked Daia about her love triangle with Cordell Beckham And Serena Page resulted in Daia being thrown out of the villa.

“When we were actually in Casa, I felt like our connection was real,” said Daia Us her relationship with Kordell. “A lot of what was shown was the most entertaining, but we were together for four days straight – we had two-hour conversations, a lot of things happened that weren’t shown. He gave me his bracelet, even though he was wearing Serena’s ring. I gave him my bracelet. It was a whole thing.”

After things heated up at Casa, Kordell brought Daia back to the villa.

“When I found out I was going to the villa with him, he was like, ‘I feel like I’d be doing myself a disservice by not bringing you back. … I feel like I’m putting everyone else’s feelings before my own. It’s time to do my (thing).’ So I was like, ‘OK, cool, seems pretty real,'” she continued. “I really liked him. I thought he was really sweet.”

Things changed quickly when the couple returned to find that single Serena was waiting for Kordell.

“I think when he saw the person that you really, really care about and have a connection with emotionally standing there all alone and really, really upset and hurt, he probably immediately thought, ‘What the hell did I just do?'” Daia said. Us. “I don’t think the connection between us wasn’t real. I think they just had a much stronger connection. At one point he said, ‘Oh, Daia and Serena are neck and neck.’ He was like, ‘It would take a lot to change my mind, but you’re pretty far ahead.’ But I think that all went away when he saw Serena because they were two weeks ahead of us.”

Based on the episodes Daia had seen before going to the Casa, she assumed that Serena and Kordell were more of a “friends couple” as their romance blossomed slowly.

“When I came in from Casa, I actually thought she was going to be with another guy that she liked more,” Daia said. “We didn’t see her crying on the floor (in the villa when we were in Casa) and saying, ‘I miss Kordell.’ I feel like people forget that. We didn’t have that perspective. We just thought, ‘She’s probably enjoying her time with the guys.’ I didn’t expect that at all.”

The renewed connection left fans stunned, and Daia said Us that it was even crazier than the audience thought.

“The Casa girls didn’t realize it was going to be so hostile. And I think some (viewers) were like, ‘Oh, the Casa girls are so demanding,’ but no – you don’t see that we sat there for two hours and got f***ing beaten up, just having to stand there and have faith in the guy that just brought us back,” she explained. “We think he likes us, but now he’s getting f***ing yelled at, so I don’t really know what to do. It’s embarrassing. People were really mad (at me) because they were like, ‘Oh, you threw your hair back.’ I was literally smiling because if I hadn’t smiled I would have f***ing burst into tears. … (After the reunion was over, the Casa girls) all went to the bathroom and we started crying as a group.”

Daia said the situation between the girls from the Casa and the Villa was so tense that they had to sit down together.

“It was really petty shit that was going on. And then we all said, ‘They’re really upset right now, we’re going to give them clemency.’ And then the next morning it kept happening, so I said, ‘Listen, you’re not going to keep talking to me like that,'” Daia explained, noting that she and Liv Walker had a particularly heated moment that fans didn’t see. “But even after the conversation between me and Liv, she immediately said, ‘I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize I made you feel that way.’ She was really apologetic and sweet. And then all the girls got together and we all had to go around in a circle and say why we were mad at each other.”

The truth circle worked—and the women were able to coexist and even become friends. Daia confirmed to us that she and Serena got along well, and the islanders even shared notes about their private conversations with Kordell.

“I think it was just shown that every time I had a conversation with Kordell, I would run to Serena, but they never actually showed that whenever Serena had a conversation with Kordell, she would come to me and say, ‘So this is what he just told me. I don’t know what to do with this information.’ And I said, ‘So this is what he just told me. I don’t know what to do with it. And what is he telling you?'” Daia said. “We actually had a really good connection because neither of us were like, ‘Screw him, he’s awful, stop talking to him.’ We gave each other advice for the connections we had with him.”

Daia can admit that she saw the writing on the wall when it came to Kordell’s feelings for Serena.

“It was really clear to me, I knew where his heart was, and I knew he really loved her, even though he told me otherwise,” she said. “So I was like, ‘OK, Serena, I think I’m going to break up. I’m over this whole situation, it’s just not going the way I want.’ At the end of the reunion, she hugged me and I said, ‘I love you so much, go get your man, girl.’ We definitely planned on doing something together in LA. She’s amazing.”

Daia added that she was “100 percent” convinced that Kordell and Serena had a chance to make it in the real world, and revealed that she and Kordell had actually reconciled as well.

“I didn’t speak to him for three days, but after I was eliminated, he was like, ‘I’m so sorry for the way I handled things.’ And I was like, ‘I’m sorry for the way I handled things,'” she said. “In the end, we were both petty and I hold no ill will toward you at all.”

One of the most discussed moments from Kordell and Daia’s affair was her alleged connection to his famous brother, Odell Beckham Jr. After she entered the villa, fans claimed they had screenshots of Daia’s comments on the footballer’s photos and accused her of using Kordell to get close to the athlete.

“I have literally refuted every lie they may have spread about me because I feel like I get bullied the most out of all the cast,” Daia said. Us. “I have thousands of people commenting on my account saying they absolutely hate me and people telling me they want me dead and stuff like that. It’s all based on a lie. I don’t have a problem with people saying ‘I hate your hair, I think you’re ugly’ because that’s just their opinion of me and that’s totally fine. I can’t change that. It’s in my Instagram highlights if you want to see proof that my ex-boyfriend is going to dinner with his brother.”

Regarding Daia’s Instagram highlights, she points out that the alleged screenshot of her leaving a heart emoji on Odell’s page is blurry and claims it was photoshopped. She also shared pictures of one of her ex-boyfriends from 2016 having dinner with Odell, informing her fans that they were sending hate to the wrong man and insisting that she wasn’t a liar when she told Kordell he was her distant connection to his brother.
