OGDENSBURG – Ann Groome received this year’s Irma Markert Award from the Ogdensburg Garden Club at the garden club’s annual picnic on July 2.

The award was presented by our club colleague Loni Recker.

“Ann Grime has been a tireless and loyal gardener at Agarwal Garden and Kids Place Learning Gardens since their inception,” said Recker.

“She has led the Youth Garden Club in many educational, experimental and community projects, including flower shows, public garden tours, open houses and craft sales,” she said.

“Ann has been a member of the Ogdensburg Garden Club since 2003. Over the years she has welcomed many new members and is always willing to help in any way she can. She is humble, reliable, hardworking and a good planner/organizer. Those who know her love her,” said Recker.
