Eminem and Steve Berman reveal new edition of “The Death of Slim Shady” in sketch

Eminem released another limited digital album of his The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace) on Wednesday (July 17). The rapper returns to his roots by reuniting with a frustrated Steve Berman, who appears in another skit added to this latest version of the album.

The vice chairman of Interscope Records originally joined Slim Shady for a skit named after him in 2000. The Marshall Mathers LPand had another appearance at D-12’s Devil’s NightHe reappears on a Eminem Show Sketch in 2002, in which Em actually shoots Steve. After a break, Berman returns in 2009 in Relapse after he lost feeling in his right arm as a result of the proverbial shots.

It’s been over a decade now, and they’re back – back – still bickering like always. Em had fun with the digital album announcement, where Berman pesters the Detroit legend about his LP and eventually convinces him to make another guest appearance.

“Shouldn’t you be dead?” Berman jokes. “How the hell are you going to put out another album without me on it?”

Em finally complies: “All right, man, I’ll fix it.”

“Ok @steveberman… I fixed it,” Em added on social media. “Get the new digital album #TheDeathOfSlimShady – STEVE BERMAN Edition! Includes BOTH bonus tracks #1 and #2 + an exclusive sketch with Steve. Only available on shop.eminem.com until THURSDAY at midnight ET!”

The latest digital album includes the two bonus tracks “Like My S–t” and “Kyrie & Luka” featuring 2 Chainz. Fans have until Thursday evening (July 18) to purchase the limited LP.
