Chiefs coach speaks honestly about Taylor Swift’s distraction

When Taylor Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce last year, it drew attention from fans and media to his life and the team. Some believed this could distract him and the Chiefs as they try to focus on football. But head coach Andy Reid apparently doesn’t see it that way.

In an interview in the new football show “Scoop City” by The athlete, Andy Reid talked a bit about how he’s dealing with the “Hollywood” distractions the team faces after its meteoric rise to fame – especially Kelce, since he’s now dating one of the most famous people in the world.

Reid made it clear that he was “OK” with that as long as it didn’t prevent Kelce or the other players from preparing for the upcoming season.

Plus, his attitude of good, old-fashioned hard work is what keeps the Chiefs from going to Hollywood.

“I grew up in Hollywood, so as long as they’re ready, it’s fine with me,” Reid said. “Training camp is kind of a proving ground. If you’re not ready, it’ll quickly become obvious.”

So far, Kelce hasn’t seemed to let the relationship stop him from doing his best on the field.
