NEW YORK (PIX11) — In honor of National Hot Dog Day, Nathan’s Famous is selling its hot dogs at their original price of $0.05.

At some locations in New York and New Jersey, customers can buy just two cheap hot dogs per person. The hot dogs are sold nationwide from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.


Nathan’s Famous opened its first branch in Coney Island in 1916. Back then, hot dogs cost just five cents. Today, they cost $5.99.

The hot dog is suitable for four people and is topped with mustard, relish and sauerkraut.
