The Bookseller – Rights – Titan Books snaps up Philip A. Suggars’ “captivating” fantasy series

Titan Books has signed The lighthouse at the end of the worldthe debut adult fantasy novel by Philip A. Suggars in a two-book deal.

Fiction editor Daniel Carpenter acquired worldwide English-language rights from Sam Edenborough at Greyhound Literary. The lighthouse at the end of the world will be published in spring 2026, the second book in the series will follow in 2027.

Edenborough said: “Philip’s prose sparkles with inventiveness, warmth and wit.”

The lighthouse at the end of the world, The first book in the Cities of the Drift series, about a child who stumbles into a parallel London, has been touted as a “riveting, gripping story about family and discovering one’s true nature.”

Carpenter commented: “Suggars is a born storyteller and The lighthouse at the end of the world is the perfect introduction to one of the most incredible new fantasy worlds I’ve ever read. Reading it is like getting lost in a brand new city for the first time, being awed by your surroundings and grateful to have a guide like Suggars to show you the sights.”

Suggars said: “I grew up in London and have always loved the city. I’m really looking forward to working with Daniel to bring readers this fantastic version of the capital.”
