Ingrid Andress apologizes for singing the national anthem while drunk at the Home Run Derby

Country Singer Ingrid Andress apologized after her controversial interpretation of the national anthem during the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby. Andress confirmed that “I was drunk” and announced that she would enter a rehabilitation center to treat her addiction.

The 32-year-old artist used her X-account to post her statements apologizing to MLB and fans: “I’m not kidding you, I was drunk last night. I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need.”

That wasn’t me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans and this country that I love so much for that performance. I’ll tell you all what rehab is like. I hear it’s a lot of fun.”

For the RRSS, Andress’ interpretation was one of the worst of the anthem ever.

The singer wanted to end the speculation that went viral on social media after her performance. In the video Andress struggles with the microphonein addition to the false start, force high tones and delivered a performance that was anything but normal for a recognized professional.

In fact, many users of the networks called it one of the worst interpretations of the national anthem in history. Some even went so far as to find Similarities with Fergie strange version before the NBA All-Stars 2018.
