World of Warcraft: The War Within: Radiant Echoes explained

The war within is about to be released and before that we have the opportunity to take a look at the pre-patch.

One of the features of the pre-patch will be Radiant Echoes, and we’ll go through those below.

Players can dive into the brand new DLC on August 26th and August 22nd if they have Early Access.

However, the pre-patch will be released on July 23rd and will include Radiant Echoes, giving players the chance to earn some rewards by grappling with the memories of Azeroth.

Confronting memories

Players who have reached level 70 will receive an introductory quest and will then be sent to Dalaran to begin. Players below level 70 will be sent to Dalaran immediately.

The event takes place in four phases and rotates between three zones. Portals are available in Dalaran that will take you directly to the event location, and a return portal is available in each of the event zones so players can quickly return to Dalaran and head to the next event. Additionally, when the event is active in a zone, the portal will glow gold to indicate that it is active.

• During the first week of the event, a zone change will occur every 90 minutes.
• In the second week of the event, the zones will change every 60 minutes.
• During the third and fourth weeks of the event, a zone change will occur every 30 minutes.

STAGE 1

During the first phase of the event, players must defeat the Congealed Memories that appear in the zone and the memories surrounding it.

LEVEL 2

Defeat the radiant echoes wreaking havoc in the zone. There are six random events active within the zone, which can be seen on the map (M). The event locations in each level are marked by a multi-colored globe.

LEVEL 3

During the event, you can accept a quest in each zone where you have to defeat one of the event bosses as follows:

• Only darkness: Remembered Lich King slain (Dragonblight)
• Broken Masquerade: Remembered by Onyxia, killed (Dustwallow Marsh)
• Champion of the Water Lords: Unforgettable Firelord killed (Searing Gorge)

Please note that once the boss is defeated by players, Phase 4 will begin and the boss will no longer be available to kill to complete the quest until the event in the zone starts again. Bosses may also drop additional equipment in rare cases.

LEVEL 4

In phase four, the Radiant Echoes have subsided. Players can return to Dalaran or stay in the zone to destroy any remaining memories and continue to collect Remnant Memories. A timer in the zone where Remnant Memories are still active counts down until the next zone event. Players can return to Dalaran and take the portal to the next zone that becomes active.

Reward

Players can collect Remnant Memories to purchase items from various vendors in each zone. You can keep track of how many Remnant Memories you have collected by opening the character information (hotkey C) and the currency tab under the War Within dropdown menu.

Players who purchase the Ring of Lifeless Stone can collect memories in all three event zones, combine them into essences, and imbue them with power, creating the Band of Radiant Echoes heirloom ring (item level 227).
