Sam’s Club customers have choice when purchasing goods from warehouses across the country.

They can take their shopping carts to a traditional checkout or scan the items on the go.

With Scan-and-Go technology, there are only three steps for customers to follow.

You must ensure that the Sam’s Club app is downloaded onto your mobile phone.

Secondly, they can use the built-in scanner to check out the item or search for the product manually.

Sam’s Club members who use Scan and Go technology make payments in their app.

The buyer no longer has to go to a checkout.

All you then have to do is show your digital receipt to an employee.

Buyers expressed the Advantages using this technology and how it speeds up the shopping process.

Deonna Mercer posted on Facebook that using “Scan and Go” will help avoid long wait times.

“The lines were probably an hour long,” she said.

Some Scan and Go users recalled that other customers in the store thought they were stealing items.

Scan-and-Go technology is also available to Walmart customers.

What is Walmart Scan and Go?

Walmart’s Scan and Go is designed to save shoppers time

Walmart’s Scan and Go system is designed to allow customers to scan items as they shop, pay, and exit the checkout line without having to wait in long checkout lines.

The retailer describes setting up the new system as being done in just a few simple steps:

  • Customers must first download the Walmart app to their phone and enable location access.
  • On the Store Mode landing page, shoppers must click the “Scan to Go” option.
  • Customers can scan any item and add it to their shopping cart while shopping.
  • At the end, you will be asked to view the shopping cart to make sure the quantity in the app matches the quantity in your cart.
  • Shoppers press “Checkout” and go to a self-checkout kiosk.
  • You will be asked to scan the QR code provided at checkout and confirm your payment method.
  • Once the transaction is complete, customers can leave the store without worry.

Fans of this checkout method have called on Costco to introduce it in all of its warehouses.

“Scan and Go” isn’t the only payment method that Sam’s Club customers rave about.

Sam’s Club warehouses have been or will be equipped with scanners to verify purchases.

The plans were unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year.

Scan-and-Go users can walk through the airport-like facility and do not need to show their receipts.

“When we combine this technology with our Scan & Go shopping experience, it creates a nearly frictionless shopping experience,” Todd Garner, chief product officer of Sam’s Club, told local NBC affiliate WAVY-TV.

The scanning machines are already in use in 120 branches.

But the bosses have plans to introduce them in all 600 warehouses before the end of the year.

Most buyers welcomed these measures, but not all customers were equally enthusiastic.

Customers pointed out some teething issues, particularly related to the bags they appeared to be using.

Some shoppers weren’t impressed and vowed they would return to Costco after testing Sam’s Club’s technology.
