“I don’t like being famous”

“I don’t like being famous”

Adele European tour 2024: These are the expected ticket prices for her Munich shows.

“Hello” singer Adele will say goodbye to her fans at the end of this year, at least for a short time, as she plans a “big break” from music.

The British pop powerhouse is currently preparing for Adele in Municha series of ten live shows in Munich, Germany, from August 2nd to 31st.

But her Munich residence is technically a temporary solution between her other residence in Las Vegas, Weekends with Adelewhich has been running almost every weekend since November 2022.

So it’s fair to say she’s feeling a little exhausted. Or, as she put it in a new interview with German broadcaster ZDF: her “tank is pretty empty.”

In an interview with the broadcaster, she dashed her fans’ hopes that a successor to her fourth studio album 30which was already released in 2021, is just around the corner.

“I have no plans for new music at all,” she confirmed, adding that once Weekends with Adele ends this November, she will put music on hold altogether – just for a while.

“I want to take a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things for a little while,” she said. “You know, I don’t sing at all at home. How weird is that?”

In fact, the 16-time Grammy winner bluntly stated that she is not a big fan of being famous at all.

“I miss everything from before I was famous, but most of all, I think, the anonymity,” she admitted.

“I don’t like being famous. I love that I can make music whenever I want and that people are receptive to it and like it, because that’s pretty unimaginable… that never happens to people.”

“But I absolutely hate the fame side and I miss everything from before all that,” she continued.

“The fact that people are even interested in my voice and my songs is pretty crazy. I don’t think that will ever become normal, you know? So it’s worth it… (it’s just about) finding the balance.”

Although the 36-year-old “Rolling In The Deep” singer is adored around the world – especially by the LGBTQ+ community – she has also had to endure some controversy due to her presence in the spotlight.

Just last month, she made headlines for confronting a heckler at her Las Vegas show who she said had said “Pride sucks” – but it turns out he hadn’t said anything of the sort.

When ZDF asked the singer about the incident, she attributed her mistake to the fact that she was “old and grumpy.”

“Everything makes me angry. Absolutely everything,” she said. “I’m 36 years old. I’m old and grumpy now.”
