Netflix horror series “Something Very Bad Is About to Happen” by the Duffer Brothers

The Duffer Brothers are already preparing for a new Netflix project. One year before the release of the final season of Stranger Thingsthe new horror series on Netflix has been given the green light.

The series is by Haley Z. Boston and is titled Something very bad is going to happen. The official synopsis describes the series as “an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding that follows the bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. This isn’t a spoiler – just read the title…” Boston is the series’ creator and will also be the executive producer and showrunner. The Duffer Brothers will serve as executive producers along with Hilary Leavitt and Andrea Sperling, who already have deals with the streaming platform.

The Duffer Brothers commented on the script: “We were speechless when we first read Haley’s script. She is a great new talent with a unique voice – her writing style is twisted, terrifying, funny and just… very Haley. We feel so lucky to be producing her first show and can’t wait to share her vision with the rest of the world.” The news of the new series comes just a day after Netflix and the Duffer Brothers released a teaser of the final season of Stranger Things.
