Travis Kelce wears a unique Irish souvenir during his evening with Taylor Swift and NFL friends

It seems that Travis Kelce picked up a surprising souvenir during his trip to Ireland last month: a Garda baseball cap.

The Kansas City Chiefs star was seen in a photo posted online by former football player Summitt Hogue wearing a hat that read “GARDA.”

The dark blue and white cap is usually worn by members of the Irish police’s Public Order Unit, An Garda Síochána, when they are not wearing a helmet. Official caps are not usually available for purchase, so many speculate that the cap was a gift.

Kelce is obviously a fan and recently wore the garment on a night out with his girlfriend Taylor Swift and some NFL buddies.

The image posted by Hogue was taken in Amsterdam and shows Kelce with his arm around Swift. His teammate Patrick Mahomes is also seen in the snapshot, as are Mahomes’ wife Brittany and Summitt and Miranda Hogue.

Eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted the Garda cap and the picture has already been shared online. So much so that even the Gardaí have spotted it.

The official Garda information page on X reposted the picture with the caption: “Nice hat, boss!”

They even said they planned to give him another one when he returned to Ireland.

Said: “When you all visit us again in Ireland Travis Kelce, we will be sure to present you with one of the 30,000 newly designed caps that will be worn by every member of An Garda Siochana by the end of the year.”

However, the post has since been deleted and a Garda spokesman said it was shared “in error”.

Either way, Kelce will surely be seen wearing the cap again, along with the Irish rugby jersey he already wore since he traveled to Dublin look Swift on the Eras Tour in June.
