Michigan State Police reopen unsolved case of woman’s disappearance in 1987

MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) — Michigan State Police say an unsolved case involving a woman last seen in Roscommon in August 1987 has been reopened.

Cassandra Durham, then 19, and her boyfriend left their home in Baltimore, Maryland, to go on vacation in the summer of 1987, according to an FBI press release.

Durham had told her family members they were in Roscommon, Michigan, to visit her boyfriend’s grandparents.

“When her boyfriend returned to Maryland, Cassandra was not with him,” the FBI press release said.

Durham is described as a white woman, 5’5″ tall, 110lbs, with brown neck-length hair and blue eyes.

According to the FBI, she has tattoos “on her hip and thigh area (the initials of her boyfriend ‘EB’ and the initials of her college sorority).”

The FBI said Durham may have traveled to Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland or Michigan.
