Michigan State football had opt-outs in college football 25

Michigan State football has had a handful of surprising exits in EA Sports College Football 25. Who are they?

If you’re anything like me, Monday was almost a national holiday. Michigan State football fans were able to quench their college football thirst by playing as Aidan Chiles and Jack Velling in the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

Fans can play as all of their favorite Spartans in the new game.

Well, most of their favorite Spartans.

Each player was able to choose whether or not to participate in the new game. Very few opt-outs have been announced, as most players want to see their likeness in the latest video game, but some Spartans have chosen not to appear in the EA Sports College Football 25 game.

The most surprising opt-out was Cal Haladay who apparently missed the deadline by mistake. The running back transfer can also opt out Kay’Ron Lynch-AdamsReceiver Jaron Glover, Lineman Brandon Baldwin and Offensive Tackle Rustin Young everyone has withdrawn from the game.

There’s a good chance all of these guys forgot to sign up by the deadline, but it’s disappointing that we don’t get to play as Haladay, Lynch-Adams, Glover, Baldwin or Young. Imagine all the deadly one-two punches the backfield would have in the game with KLA, or the circus catches Glover would make with Chiles’ arm. And Baldwin and Young would have bolstered a young, untested offensive line.

Luckily, these guys aren’t just in-game and will be ready to go by the regular season. Perhaps the missing Spartans will be added when the game does its midseason update.

For now, however, Michigan State football fans will have to live without the handful of Spartans who have decided not to attend the game.
