Chris Anderson Band at Big Top Brewing

Chris Anderson Band at Big Top Brewing

Chris Anderson has been a mainstay of the Southern rock scene since the 1970s, playing, touring or writing songs for groups such as the Outlaws, Grinderswitch, Lucinda Williams, The Allman Brothers, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackhawk, Hank Williams Jr., Steven Stills, Johnny Neel, Neil Carswell and many others. His debut album, Old Friend, has been described as a mix of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and Duane Allman.

The New York Times named it one of the 10 best albums you’ve never heard. Rolling Stone magazine gave it five stars. Old Friend is a well-rounded work, marked by Anderson’s vibrant guitar playing and the emotional depth of great songs sung with unflagging conviction and delivered with the authority of a seasoned bluesman. Not only does he come across as a great new talent, but the performances on his records confirm Anderson’s instincts as a great songwriter.

Anderson moved to Nashville, Tennessee in the mid-90s and has been a member of the multi-platinum country group Blackhawk for years. He has written countless songs, played on or produced countless recording sessions, CDs and jingles.

His ability to blend many genres including rock, pop, country, soul, R&B and blues only enriches his songwriting on Music City. Anderson is one of Southern Rock’s most notable musicians and sought-after producers. No cover.
