Actor Jim Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus in the famous 2004 film “The Passion of the Christ,” also officially supported Trump after the assassination attempt.

“I fully support Trump for President of the United States in 2024,” Caviezel wrote in a Facebook post on Monday showing the actor standing behind Trump.

Although his official support only came after the assassination attempt on Trump, Caviezel has repeatedly praised the former president in the past, particularly with regard to his efforts in the fight against child sex trafficking.

In a 2023 interview with Fox & Friends, Caviezel described Trump as “the new Moses” when it came to such an endeavor.

“We have to do a lot more. And we have to start with Donald Trump,” Caviezel said at the time. He went on to say that Trump “has to be there because he’s going to go after the traffickers.”

“This is the new Moses,” Caviezel added. “I mean, I’m still Jesus, but he’s the new Moses. Pharaoh, release my children.”

Caviezel recently played Tim Ballard in the 2023 film “Sound of Freedom,” which tells the story of a former U.S. government agent who went to Colombia to rescue children from sex traffickers. The film grossed around $250 million at the box office despite its meager $14.5 million budget.
