I haven’t seen you in a long time!’ And you gave me a big hug. All the while I was thinking, ‘I don’t know this woman.’ I mean, I know who you are. I was a fan. And I’ve been a fan of yours since Grand Hotel,” Jesse said. “But I was like, ‘Oh my God, Jane is hugging me.'”

He continued, “And then you said, ‘I don’t remember where we met? How do we know you?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know,’ and you started mentioning things, ‘Well, maybe we did a commercial together,’ and trying to put it in context. And you said, ‘Well, I don’t know. I’ll find out later, but it was nice to see you. Thank you for coming.’ And I was just speechless because I felt like you spoke to me very much.”

“You’re a huge star to me. Look, I know now that you’re a huge star, not just a huge star. But I was very impressed by that encounter. And then a week or two later, I’m working at Starbucks on the corner of 79th Street and Broadway and you walk in, see me and say, ‘I know you here!'” Jesse added.
