Taylor Swift has added some new friends to her inner circle in recent years (I was rude not to), including Sabrina Carpenter and Gracie Abrams—which makes total sense considering they both got really close to Tay in the album’s opening. Eras Tour. Here you can see a timeline of Sabrina and Taylor’s friendship, but today we’re here to talk about Miss Swift’s friendship with Gracie. Because it turns out they have more in common than the ability to put out fires, okay?!

Exact dates are yet to be announced, but Gracie said Vanity Fair that she received a call from “an unknown number” inviting her to Taylor’s birthday in December 2021. The…DREAM!

Gracie also confirmed this funny fact to Rolling Stone in 2023 and said, “She texted me out of the blue two Christmases ago. Like, ‘Hey, it’s my birthday.’ I was like, ‘I know.’ She’s one of the brightest lights of all time, a writing genius, an artistic genius, an angel from heaven.”

For your information, Gracie said Today the backstory of that wild night, saying, “We were drinking a lot. We were talking about our lives and our albums and we were excited by all these stories. She said, ‘We need to go home and listen to the songs.’ She played me ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.’ I landed on the floor. That’s how it went and then we went home and wrote ‘Us’ based on the conversation we had at dinner.”
