Xbox Series X 1TB consoles are reduced to $370 on Amazon for Prime Day

Xbox Series X 1TB consoles are reduced to 0 on Amazon for Prime Day

Don’t panic, but the current generation of Xbox and PlayStation consoles are now over three years old. Yes, time has flown by. With Xbox confirming that new models of its latest consoles will launch before the end of 2024, it seems we’re approaching the halfway point of this current generation. However, it was notoriously difficult to get hold of the latest consoles for quite a while after their release. Not only is that no longer the case, but Amazon is currently offering Series X consoles for over $100 off during Prime Day.

Well over $100 off, in fact. A 1TB Series X still costs $500 when new. However, the consoles currently available on Amazon are priced at $369.99, which is $130 less than usual. The only caveat is that these are refurbished Series X consoles, but even then they’re still $80 cheaper than usual. “Refurbished” means the console is either used or the box has been opened. However, they have been refurbished and work like new.

The first of the three new Xbox console models has a release date and pre-orders are now open.

Speaking of which, it’s the same as buying a new Series X in everything but the name: The refreshed console also comes with a standard Xbox controller, just like when you buy it new. Essentially, you’re getting the same Series X you’d get if you bought a brand new console in the store. The only differences are the “refreshed” in the product description, and if you go that route, you’ll save $130. That’s enough for a few brand new games or six months of Game Pass Ultimate, even if prices go up later this year.

It’s as good as new, I promise

Xbox Series X

$370 $450 Save $80

Launched in 2020 alongside the digital-only Xbox Series S console, the Series X is the disc version of Microsoft’s leading gaming platform.

If you’re still not tempted to buy a Series X even at this heavily discounted price, remember that you can technically now play Xbox games without even owning an Xbox game. Microsoft has launched Game Pass on select models of the Amazon Fire Stick, and those select models are also on sale for $25 off the model of your choice, the 4K or 4K Max model. All you need is a Game Pass subscription and a controller.

There’s a lot more to check out at Amazon right now for Prime Day, and there’s more to come before it ends on Wednesday. While $130 off a Series X is a huge saving, it’s not the biggest deal on gaming hardware that Prime subscribers can get right now. Arcade1Up is running a huge sale where two of its machines are available for $400 less than usual. There are plenty of other cases included too, all heavily discounted. And if all that doesn’t appeal to you, just grab a pair of Hello Kiity headphones.
