Taylor Swift releases “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” as the next single from “The Tortured Poets Department”

Taylor Swift fans are in their prime as she has just released her next single The “Tortured Poets” section.

On Tuesday, July 16, Swift chose “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” as her next song off the record to be released as a single. This time, Swift also released an instrumental version.

“We’re so bummed we pretend every day is #ICanDoItWithABrokenHearts birthday! But today is special because Taylor is declaring it the next single from #TSTTPD!” the official Taylor Nation account wrote on Instagram.

And added: “Lights, camera, bitch, listen to see the sweet new cover on all streaming platforms.”

The announcement also included the cover art of the new release, which shows Swift, 34, in the glittery outfit she wore during her live performance of the song, surrounded by feathered fans.

On July 9, Swift released a stripped-down acoustic version of “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone. Alongside the acoustic version, she also released an upbeat remix featuring New York indie-pop duo Cults, which speeds up the production with some bright instrumentation.

The various “Fortnight” singles were followed by a dreamy remix released on May 21 in collaboration with DJ BLOND:ISH.

Swift is currently on the international leg of her Eras Tour and will make her next stop in Gelsenkirchen, Germany for three shows from July 17-19. She will then perform shows in Germany, Poland, Austria and England before wrapping up the tour on August 20. After that, the Eras Tour will return to the United States from October 18 to December 8.

During her show in London on June 23, Swift surprised the audience by bringing her boyfriend and NFL star Travis Kelce onstage during her outfit change for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

On July 15, Swift looked back on her two memorable performances in Milan, where she started coughing in the middle of the “Secret Songs” segment after swallowing a virus, showed off new outfits and experienced a malfunction with her piano.

“WOW. MILAN,” Swift began. “Those were truly two of my favorite audience members ever.”

The Grammy winner continued, “The passion and generosity you have shown us… it was a dream come true to perform for you. Grazi mille!! We will be back!!”
