New song “Imminent Redemption” by JANE’S ADDICTION will be released next week

A studio recording of JANES LOOKING FORs new song “Impending Redemption” will be officially released on Wednesday, July 24. The track was performed live for the first time when JANES LOOKING FORThe classic lineup played their first show in 14 years at Bush Hall in London, UK on May 23.

At the performance in London, guitarist David NavarroSinger Perry Farrelldrummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery – who left the band in 2010 but returned in 2022 – also played another new track, “True love”which they premiered last year. They also opened with “Kettle Whistle”mark JANES LOOKING FOR‘s first performance of the song with Navarro since 2001.

“True love” was allegedly written by Farrell, Avery And Perkinswith support of the touring guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

Navarro sat outside JANES LOOKING FOR‘s 2022 and 2023 shows due to his battle with Long COVID. He was replaced at last year’s performances by Klinghoffera former member of RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS which also records with Eddie Vedder and performs with PEARL JAM. 2022 saw QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE‘S Troy Van Leeuwen step in for Navarro.

Autumn 2022 “Spirit in Flames” Tour was the first JANES LOOKING FOR Shows in more than a decade with recurring Avery. Before Avery last played with the band for a short time in the 2000s before leaving in 2010.

In autumn 2022 Farrell told Alternative Press that it was not easy to find a temporary replacement for Navarro. “At first there was a big weight on my shoulders,” he said. “This was our return tour right after COVID, and we had no Dave. JANE’S is a unique band, and you can’t just take any guitarist and they will understand. That is David Navarro we are talking about it – these are big shoes to fill.”

When it first became known that Van Leeuwen would step in for Navarro for the tour in autumn 2022, Dave said in a statement: “He’s a great guy and I’m honored to have him help me make this tour happen. Although I’m sad not to be doing this tour, I’m focused on making a full recovery and rejoining the guys as soon as I’m able. I really wish the band all the best on this tour and am confident they will give it their all to make it a fabulous show! Get it, guys!”
