One of Washington State’s most famous restaurants has turned pink for good reason

One of the most famous restaurants in Washington state is suddenly pink, but for a good cause.

While scrolling through my Instagram feed, I noticed that one of the state’s most famous restaurants had turned pink.

The comments were mostly positive, but there were also a few snide remarks from people who didn’t understand the color change in Canlis.

Canlis is one of the most popular restaurants in Washington State and is considered one of the best in the country. Three generations have kept the legacy alive.

So what’s the deal with the color pink? Here are the details as posted on Instagram:

KENLIS Announcement: Nothing big, just a huge, wild dance party at the Canlis dream house. Live music! Pink drinks! Roller skating! Horses!

A two-night party, August 9th or 10th, 7pm-midnight, 21+ only. $270 includes all the food, drinks and dancing you could ever want. Dress up, pink goes with everything! Tickets go on sale Monday at 2pm at canlis.com.

This party (and other wonderful events this month) will benefit breast cancer research and patient care at Fred Hutch Cancer Center and Susan G. Komen—a cause close to our family and staff’s hearts.

So Canlis will stay pink for at least the next six weeks, so if you’ve been thinking about a special night out at the restaurant, why not make it extra special at Canlis before the sun returns to normal in the autumn?
