FBI has gained access to the shooter’s cell phone

On Monday, the FBI announced that it had successfully accessed all the data on the cell phone of the man who attempted to assassinate Donald J. Trump. Authorities are still investigating the motive of the attack by the registered Republican, who launched the attack on Trump despite knowing he was risking his own life. Meanwhile, the investigation continues into the Secret Service’s alleged failures in securing the rally site in Western Pennsylvania.

“Although the investigation to date suggests that the shooter acted alone, the FBI continues to conduct a logical investigation to determine whether there were co-conspirators in connection with this attack,” the FBI said in an email to reporters on Sunday, according to the NY Times.

One day after Donald Trump survived the assassination attempt, he flew to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention. The former president was elected as the official Republican presidential candidate with overwhelming support. Trump also announced that he had nominated JD Vance, once a critic, now a rising star of the MAGA movement, as his vice president.
