Shannen Doherty’s ex-fiancé Chris Foufas mourns her death

Shannen DohertyEx-fiancé Chris Foufas reflects on his time with the actress after she died on Saturday, July 13, at the age of 53.

Foufas, who is with the Charmed Alum in 1991, exclusively told We weekly on Tuesday, July 16, that Doherty was a “fantastic woman” who was “very misunderstood.”

“Anyone who knows Shannen will understand that comment,” the businessman continued. “She had a bad reputation and was very passionate about the things she did, and that came across in the wrong light to some people. But anyone who got to know her realized that she wore her heart on her sleeve and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for close friends.”

Foufas stated that he and Doherty had no contact after their engagement ended, calling it a “long story.” Although they had no contact at the time of her death, Foufas praised his ex’s authenticity.

Before her death, she filed legal documents accusing Iswarienko of “intentionally delaying the settlement in the hope” that she would “not survive” the divorce proceedings. Iswarienko’s lawyer Katherine Heersema has rejected the claim in a statement of defence.

After Doherty’s death, her friend Tara Furiani criticized Iswarienko for his alleged behavior during Doherty’s battle with cancer.

“Her pain and suffering in the months leading up to (her death) would not have been so great if her husband had simply been a decent human being. He could have simply shown a little humanity to his dying wife,” Furiani wrote on Instagram on Sunday, July 14.

While Iswarienko has not yet responded publicly to Doherty’s death, Heather The star’s first husband sent her a moving tribute.
