In January of this year, after months of hesitation, I finally bought a robot vacuum cleaner and it immediately exceeded my expectations. On the recommendation of a friend, I chose the Lubluelu SL60D, the white version of which reduced to just $125 in the Prime Day Sale.
I was worried that a cheaper robot vacuum like the Lubluelu would constantly get stuck, wouldn’t be able to map my house properly, or just wouldn’t suck up much dirt, but all my fears were unfounded. It’s a valuable tool in the constant battle against the clutter that reigns in a family home.
I wasn’t willing to spend a lot of money on a robot vacuum from Roomba or others, and I’m glad I didn’t – the Lubluelu SL60D does exactly what I wanted from a robot vacuum for a lot less.
Since we have two kids and a very fluffy cat in our house, the floors need constant maintenance. The robot vacuum patrols the kitchen and living room to help with cleaning, covering both hardwood floors and carpets. The Lubluelu SL60D connected to my WiFi with ease and is controlled via an app where you can see the areas it has mapped.
There are still some frustrations with the Lubluelu, most of which are common with any robot vacuum. You have to clear up to give it a clear path, and it still gets stuck sometimes—I have a table in particular that it gets stuck under—but having to free it occasionally is a lot less work than vacuuming the floor yourself.
Aside from releasing it sometimes, emptying the dust bin, and filling the water tank, I don’t have to do much to keep the robot running. I use the Lubluelu’s vacuum and mop settings, but have barely scratched the surface of the features available in the app, which includes setting the exact zones to clean.
It’s not a complete solution – I still have to mop the floors more intensively every few weeks and from time to time the traditional vacuum comes in to reach areas that the robot has trouble with, but the Lubluelu SL60D is definitely a useful addition to my house.
