What we learned about Michigan State Football in EA Sports College Football 25

The highly anticipated video game College Football 25 is finally here. The game’s early release happened on Monday afternoon and as you can imagine, the game is quickly taking over social media.

Michigan State football fans in particular seem to all be rooting for the Spartans to pass the time until the regular season begins in the fall.

Over the summer, EA Sports has released a lot of information about Michigan State in the game, including some player rankings and overall team rankings, but now that the game is officially out, we can learn everything there is to know about Michigan State in the game.

Here are some of the things we learned about Michigan State and their participation in the game thanks to our friends on social media.

EA Sports released Michigan State’s potential team rating in recent weeks, but it was still a work in progress and not 100 percent official. With the release of the game, we now know MSU’s team rating.

Michigan State has an 80 rating and is unfortunately one of the lowest-rated Power Four teams in the country. I thought Michigan State would be near the bottom, but this seems a bit low.

Fortunately, EA Sports is doing midseason updates, so if MSU performs well, they will rise in the ratings.

To be in the game, each player had to officially sign up with EA Sports. If they didn’t sign up, they weren’t in. And unfortunately for Michigan State fans, it looks like some Spartans chose not to.

The most notable exit for Michigan State is linebacker Cal Haladay. Transfer running back Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams, receiver Jaron Glover, lineman Brandon Baldwin and offensive tackle Rustin Young have also decided to opt out. These are just a few of the most notable exits.

It’s unclear why they decided against it, but it’s unfortunate that not every Spartan is represented.

The last thing we found out on Monday was all the helmet combinations available. Michigan State has eight options to choose from, including the Script State, Gruff Sparty and MAC logos.

We’ll probably learn more as time goes on, but so far it looks like one of the best games ever made.
