NASHVILLE, Michigan – The perfect scoop of ice cream may be available this weekend in Nashville, Michigan.

MOO-ville is a family-owned and operated dairy in Barry County. They have created a brand new flavor based on their award-winning Blue Ribbon chocolate ice cream, blended with golden caramel swirls and Butterfinger pieces.

Appropriately, it’s called “Go for Gold” because it’s now the official version of Special Olympics Michigan!

Just like the ice cream itself, the family behind MOO-ville said this partnership felt like a perfect combination.

“It’s a great opportunity to support something like this and it’s absolutely necessary,” said Eric Westendorp. “When this opportunity arose, we just couldn’t turn it down.”

For every can of Go for Gold sold, MOO-ville donates $5 to the Special Olympics. Westendorp told FOX 17 they have already sold 400 cans, so $2,000 has been donated so far.

This is all happening before a big event Saturday at the Nashville Dairy, 5875 S, M-66, Nashville, MI 49073. On June 22, from 2-4 p.m., you can pick up a scoop of Go for Fold and meet members of Special Olympics Michigan Area 11 to learn how you can become an athlete, volunteer or coach in the local region of the statewide program.

While the event itself is in Barry County, the flavor is available at all four MOO-ville locations. The other three are in Eaton Rapids, Ionia and Zeeland. You can only purchase it in person by the scoop.
