London brings former British MP John Bercow into the voting line-up

Former Speaker of the British House of Commons John Bercow has been added to the cast of Fallout: London.

The fan-made project Fallout: London has added John Bercow and his voice to the cast.

He joins a cast of over 100 voice actors, including Neil Newbon, who played Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3, and the Sixth and Seventh Doctors from Doctor Who, namely Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker.

The project is an upcoming total conversion mod for Fallout 4 from Bethesda Softworks, set in a post-apocalyptic version of London, moving away from the typical US settings. With little confirmed for Fallout 5, it’s a welcome source of fresh content.

Fallout: London has been delayed due to Bethesda’s next-gen update, but is set to release soon, likely in the next few weeks. However, those who purchased Fallout 4 directly from the Epic Games Store are learning that they likely won’t be able to play the fan-made mod for unspecified technical reasons.

“Order” comes to Fallout: London

The good news for anyone who can play it, however, is that John Bercow himself plays a robot parody of himself in the mod, constantly shouting his most famous phrase: “Order!”

For those who don’t know, one of the duties of the Speaker of the House of Representatives is to moderate debates in the House of Commons of the British Parliament in Westminster. He was most recently introduced to Americans through his appearance on the television show Traitors (which greatly confused the British).

Fallout: London project lead Dean Carter announced on Discord that Bercow will be joining the extensive voice cast on Discord, writing: “Fun little update. Imagine being Fallout: London and feeling lucky to have all the talented voice actors on the team.

“But then the whole thing is boosted by the fact that we have two Doctor Who actors as VAs (voice actors)… then Neil Newbon writes to us and wants a part too.

“But the icing on the cake? Who better to voice our mod version of the Speaker of the House than a robot version. Voice of John Bercow himself.”

Also included with the post is an audio file where you can hear Bercow say the iconic “command” in a variety of ways, giving you a taste of what to expect from the fan-made game.
