Love Island’s Maura flirts with US candidate in “unseen” moment

Love Island USA has released a “never-before-seen” video of Maura Higgins flirting with a contestant.

The reality star, who appeared in the fifth season of Love Island UKis now the social ambassador and After sun Host of the US series – which you can watch on ITV’s popular streaming service ITVX.

In this week’s spin-off episode (July 14), co-host Ariana Madix asked Maura if she enjoyed watching returning bombshell Harrison Luna enter the villa.

“I actually did,” she said. “I really did, I thought that outfit… I love all black on a man.”

Ariana then surprised Maura with a “flirty” behind-the-scenes video of herself meeting Harrison at his job interview.

“Last week’s episodes didn’t show how flirty you were with him,” Ariana revealed. “So I thought if the main show can have unseen moments, then here’s my personal moment, which I like to call ‘Harry and Maura.'”

As the clip plays, Maura can be seen opening her eyes and taking a deep breath as Harrison enters the studio, then watching intently as the bombshell’s microphone is changed.

“I’m sweating here, it’s this fire,” Maura said, fanning herself with her cue cards, before Harrison replied, “And, I mean, it’s pretty hot too.”

As the crew giggled at the pair’s encounter, a confused Harrison said, “Lots of laughs, guys, lots of laughs,” and Maura added, “Everyone is so silly!”

As Harrison later left the set, Maura looked at him longingly before making a heart shape with her hands and repeatedly mouthing, “I love you.”

“Oh, what a man, he really is something special, isn’t he,” she continued. “Can I go in as a sex bomb?”

Maura notably teamed up with dancer Curtis Pritchard in the 2019 series, where they finished fourth behind series winners Amber and Greg.

The couple remained together after the show, but announced their separation in March 2020 after eight months together.

Rumors about Maura’s return to Love Island for his All stars issue earlier this year, but the reality star quickly shut down speculation about a possible comeback.

“I will never go back to Love Island. Not because I didn’t enjoy it, but I feel like I’ve done it once and I think once is enough and I’m a bit too old for that,” she revealed on Instagram. “I just don’t want to go back, I want to look forward.”

Love Island will air on ITV2 and stream on ITVX. The US edition of the show will stream on Peacock.
