Betty Ann Pittman Taylor, 89, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at ECU North Hospital.
Betty was born on August 10, 1934, the daughter of the late Paul Stanley Pittman and Dorothy Butler Pittman. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Maynard Taylor, and her brothers, Larry Pittman and Stanley Pittman.
Betty Ann was a member of the Halifax Baptist Church.
One of her greatest achievements was being the top graduate of her high school class.
She was proud to have worked at JP Stevens for over 30 years.
Betty Ann leaves behind her daughter Sharon “Sherry” Starke (Michael Barnes), her son Marc Taylor, her grandson Dennis Mickel Starke (Mary Beth) and her sister Sharon Grundy (Bill) of Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in Hockaday Chapel with the Reverend Randy Martin officiating.
The visit will take place before the service from 1 p.m.
