Russian attack on residential building in Myrnohrad, Donetsk Oblast, kills three

The death toll from a Russian attack on a residential building in Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, has risen to three, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) reported via telegram.

On the morning of July 16, two days after the first attack, rescue workers found the bodies of two more victims under the rubble.

“At 3:30 a.m., the bodies of a dead woman and a dead man were recovered from the rubble,” Tretyak said, according to the DSNS statement.

The victims were a married couple – a 67-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man. The DSNS stressed that rescue operations have now been completed.

The rescue operation lasted 36 hours, during which rescue workers cleared away 130 tons of rubble.

The first attack occurred on July 14, when Russian forces attacked an administrative building and a residential block in the city.
