NORMAL – Chris Koos, the longest-serving mayor in the city of Normal’s nearly 160-year history, announced Monday that he is seeking another four-year term in office.
Koos announced his candidacy for mayor in the consolidated elections in April 2025. He has held the highest office in Normal since 2003 and said more can be achieved.

Together, we can accomplish even more. I am the right choice for Normal and have the experience and passion necessary to continue to lead Normal.”
