Chinatsu Akasaki and Tsuyoshi Koyama join the voice cast of “Tohai”

Hotel Akasaki And Tsuyoshi Koyama are part of the voice cast of the upcoming Tohai – Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku TV anime series that premieres in October 2024.

Akasaki will lend his voice to Yuu Katsuragi, while Koyama will lend his voice to Noriyuki Takatsu.

They join a Main cast the stars Kohsuke Tanabe as Kei, Ai Fairouz as Amina, and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Doujima.

Jun Hatori (Too sweet crisis) directs the anime series, with Mariko Kunisawa (Berserker of Gluttony) as a series screenwriter, Sayaka Anesaki as character designer and Yusuke Shirato And Yuki Kishida as music composers. EAST FISH STUDIO is responsible for the animation production of the anime.

Koji ShinasakaThe original Mahjong Suspense manga was serialized in Akita Shoten’s Young Champion magazine from June 27, 2006 to April 12, 2011. A total of 12 tankobon volumes were published.

Later the manga followed with Tohai: Hitobashira hen, Tohai: Minagoroshi henand the ongoing Tohai: Cold Girlwhich was published in the same magazine on September 28, 2021 and features Amina as the main character. Seven tankobon volumes of Cold girl were published from June 2024.

The series also served as inspiration for several spin-off works and a live-action film adaptation in 2013.

Pony Canyon describes the summary of Tohai as:

Money, women, organs. Kei, a high school boy, frequently visits the underground Mahjong parlor full of desire, earning him the nickname “K of the ICE” in the underworld due to his cold-hearted strategy and stylish gameplay. There are also rumors that he has a girl at his house.
