Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship survives for THIS reason, explains Chiefs coach Andy Reid

Andy Reid has shared his insights into why Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce work as a couple, with the Chiefs coach explaining that the relationship is an “escape” for both of them.

Since Swift and Kelce began dating publicly last fall, they have been a fixture in their relationship at each other’s games and concerts, and Reid believes they have both enjoyed staying in the background at times.

“He can handle it. I think there’s a great way out for him,” Reid began on The Athletic’s “Scoop City” podcast.

“I said that about Taylor too. I mean, she comes to the game, she can kind of escape the pressure of being the show. And when he goes to her concerts, she’s the star and he can hang out there and be the support or the water carrier.”

Travis followed Taylor on her Eras tour of Europe in the offseason, and the Chiefs tight end even shared the stage with her at Wembley Stadium in London.

During an ongoing celebrity golf tournament near Lake Tahoe, Nevada, he was asked if he would make another cameo on stage and decided to keep a low profile.

“I can’t let anything out of the bag,” Kelce said at the American Century Championship. “But right now, after golf, I’m in full football mode.”

Even though Kelce won’t be back on stage with Swift anytime soon, he talked about his cameo appearance in a recent episode of his podcast “New Heights.”

“That’s not my style at all,” Kelce told his brother Jason. “I’m not tall and I don’t like being on stage. There were a lot of people there, I really didn’t feel comfortable.”

He also explained how the performance came about.

“I initially asked Tay if it would be funny if I just rolled off on one of the motorcycles during the 1989 set.”

Meanwhile, Swift has become a real Chiefs fan after she and Kelce started dating.

Last season, she attended a whopping 13 games, including the Super Bowl when Kansas City defended its NFL title.

Kelce, 34, will return to the Chiefs for his 12th season after signing a new two-year, $34.25 million contract in the offseason.

There had previously been speculation that he might hang up his boots given his high-profile relationship with Swift and the retirement of his 36-year-old brother Jason after an outstanding career with the Eagles.
