Shekinah uses 143-page love letter as weapon in dispute with Sarper

Shekinah uses 143-page love letter as weapon in dispute with Sarper

90 Day Fiancé’s Shekinah and Sarper don’t seem to be on the same side.

In the July 15 episode of The other way, Shekinah came to Turkey for the second time to live with Sarper. When she entered his apartment, she noticed something that upset her, which led to an argument between the two.

“It looks trashed, and the bottles on the shelves,” she said, referring to Sarper’s collection of bottles he drank with various women. “I don’t know why he’s holding onto them like that. It shows me how inconsiderate he is and how little respect he has for me. I’m just feeling all kinds of things right now and none of them are good.”

Shekinah further told Sarper that it was “disappointing and hurtful” that he kept the bottles after she told him three and a half months ago, the last time she was there, that they had made her feel uncomfortable.

“Honey, everything is in disarray here,” she said. “It almost looks like you weren’t expecting me.”

The room that Shekinah wanted to make her accommodation in was also not prepared for her, and she was angry with Sarper for not being more considerate upon her arrival.

“Are you doing this because of these bottles?” he asked.

“How would you feel if I had a whole suitcase full of things that reminded me of other boys and I didn’t want to get rid of them?” she replied.

“It reminds me of the places I’ve visited, not the girls,” he explained.

Shekinah then accused Sarper of “lying” because he didn’t want to admit that he was still thinking about women from his past.

“Don’t try to rephrase it,” she said.

In his confession, Sarper admitted that he regretted ever telling Shekinah that the bottles had any significance other than that he had collected them on his travels. He said he only drank with other people, so the women were his reason for drinking, but that was not why he kept the bottles.

“Sometimes I have to stop,” he joked about himself.

When he saw Shekinah burst into tears, Sarper said he didn’t understand why she “came in that mood.” She replied sharply that she had only been upset when she got to the apartment.

“Shall I show you the book?” he asked, referring to his “little black book” with the names of all the women he had slept with.

“Don’t you dare show me that,” she replied. “Because it’s disrespectful to show me that.”

Sarper disagreed. Instead, he believed that it might help Shekinah “come to terms with it.”

“It’s no big deal,” he insisted.

After he said that, Shekinah got even angrier and pulled out a folder with a long letter from an ex. “This is 143 pages of a love letter my ex-boyfriend wrote me,” she joked. “Keep it and make peace with it.”

She then explained in her confessional in front of the cameras that she never intended to bring out the folder on the first night, but that she was so upset that she felt she had no other choice.

“I just think it’s disrespectful of him to tell me that I’m his future and his everything, and yet he holds on to these things from his past,” she said. “And then he also has a double standard: He can have these things and talk so much about his past, but I can’t talk about mine. I wonder why I even came back to Turkey and whether I want to stay.”

When Shekinah stormed out of the room and said she didn’t want to talk to Sarper anymore, he took the folder and threw it away.

“You’re so good at messing things up,” he said as the scene came to a dramatic end.
