Andy Cohen defended Jennifer Lopez shortly after the singer was called “deeply unpleasant” by former “The View” actress Meghan McCain.

The 56-year-old Bravo star, who was furious when Jeff Lewis hit him “really hard” during a WWHL game, slammed the criticism directed at the 54-year-old “On The Floor” hitmaker on his podcast “Daddy Diaries” on Friday.

His comments come after Meghan stated on her own podcast, Citizen McCain, that Lopez “needs to humble herself” and after a Hollywood Reporter article that called Jennifer “unlikable.”

“I don’t think that’s true,” Cohen told co-host John Hill during the episode, recalling the Atlas actress’ previous appearances on “Watch What Happens Live.”

“No drama. (She) wasn’t late, nothing. (She) showed up, was there, did the show. I mean, just great. I could talk to her about anything.”

“I don’t think that’s true,” Cohen told co-host John Hill during the episode, recalling the Atlas actress having appeared on Watch What Happens Live in the past, which she was seen on in 2015.

Referring to Jennifer – who has cancelled her This Is Me…Live tour – performing on stage, Andy added that she “puts on a show with a capital S and dances the whole time.”

“It’s like people are mad at her for doing too much. OK, what should she do? Too little?” he asked.

Co-host John Hill also called out “sick” trolls who criticized Lopez, saying, “People are mean when they see someone doing somewhat well.”

“They want to tear you to pieces. (But) she’s strong, she’s made of Teflon, she’s beautiful, she knows herself, she’s confident.”

Earlier this month, Meghan McCain recalled Jennifer’s appearance on “The View” in 2019, claiming the star had a larger entourage than the President of the United States.

“I actually feel bad right now because I feel like JLo is being bullied and I don’t want to contribute to that,” she said in an episode of her podcast.

“But she’s just a deeply unpleasant person. She had the biggest entourage I’ve ever seen of any celebrity. More than Kim Kardashian, more than the president. And I just don’t really understand why that was necessary.”

Meghan’s guest Carlos King said he was shocked by her claims as he had had good experiences with Jennifer. But Meghan added: “JLo doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice, normal person. I’m not giving anything away.”

McCain called Lopez’s documentary “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” released in February, “not good,” adding that her acting was “not great.”

“She needs to humble herself a little bit because she is (hated) everywhere on the internet, especially on TikTok.”

Meghan, who co-hosted “The View” from 2017 to 2021, continued: “There are a lot of people, I mean real people, lower level people who work on shows, service staff, waitresses, who have really negative stories to tell about them.”

“And again, I only know my experience. I was a host on The View and she was not nice. Anyway, you don’t have to be nice all the time, it was just surprising considering people like Kim Kardashian couldn’t be more adorable.”

“If you come into a show for a 10-minute segment, just fake it until you can last 10 minutes.”

A few months earlier, in April, McCain shared an episode titled “Why Does JLo Floppy So Badly?” However, she claimed that Jennifer removed a portion uploaded to TikTok because of “bullying.”

“I just said that she had a huge following and that she wasn’t my favorite guest I’ve ever interviewed. That’s like the direct quote and it was removed for bullying,” she said of the clip.

In the TikTok video, the TV star also called the singer a “PR mess” and added that she was “in her flop era.”

Earlier this month, industry insiders claimed that Lopez follows a “no eye contact rule” when working with crew or other employees.

Earlier this month, industry insiders claimed that Lopez follows a “no eye contact rule” when working with crew or other personnel.

“A friend of ours was working backstage on the lighting at one of her concerts. All the staff had strict instructions: DO NOT LOOK AT MISS LOPEZ. NO EYE CONTACT,” one claimed.

Another claimed: “According to my inside friend, their limo drivers were told the same thing, not even allowed to look at them in the rearview mirror.”

Cohen’s latest defense of Lopez comes as both she and her husband Ben Affleck are embroiled in rumors that they are heading for an “imminent” divorce.

The couple reportedly lives separately: Ben lives in a $100,000-a-month rental apartment in Brentwood and Lopez lives in their shared $60 million mansion.

The singer was recently spotted on a solo trip to Italy without Affleck.

In a recent interview on Kevin Hart’s talk show “Hart To Heart,” Affleck said Jennifer’s fame was “crazy” and recalled a chaotic moment when the couple strolled through Times Square with their children.

The chat apparently took place shortly before the separation speculations emerged.

“We went somewhere with (Jennifer) – I can’t remember because she’s so famous and she manages to – people love her and she really represents something important to people,” the Oscar winner explained.

“(To me) people say, ‘Hey, I like your movie,’ and then they say, ‘AAAHHHH! J-LO!’ It’s unbelievable, you know what I mean? … “

However, a source recently told DailyMail.com that Lopez has “given up” on trying to save her marriage to Affleck amid alleged relationship problems.

“Jenny has had enough and she has really tried, but she can’t take it anymore. It’s not getting better, it’s getting worse.”

The insider added that one of the reasons the marriage stopped working for Lopez was because Ben was “grumpy and negative.”

“Ben is a great guy, but he can be grumpy and depressing. I think the world saw that in photos, like at the Grammys last year; he wasn’t smiling. If they had seen what it was really like, they wouldn’t have attacked her.”

“He chain smokes, swears and often seems irritable. Great director and actor, but you don’t get much laughs with him, you know? But he’s a wonderful father…”

The source later explained that Jennifer plans to tour later in 2025, shortly after canceling her This Is Me…Live tour to focus on family and “gather herself.”

While also speaking to Kevin Hart, Ben finally revealed why he has a “resting b***h face” in photos. “I’m a little shy too. I don’t like a lot of attention either.”

“That’s why people see me and wonder, ‘Why is this guy always mad?’ Because someone has their camera and puts it in my face and I think, ‘Okay, here we go.'”

However, Affleck said he was more bothered when his own children were photographed. “I actually want to do a lot more than just look at you.”

“I don’t mind. You can take a photo of me in a club or at a premiere, with my wife (Jennifer Lopez), I don’t give a damn. Make an effort. I won’t notice you. But with my kids it’s a different story.”

He also explained that sometimes his face naturally doesn’t look happy, adding: “By the way, I could also be someone who is finding themselves – I’m sitting at home and they say, ‘What’s going on?'”

“I was like, ‘Nothing. I’m listening to this.’ I was like, ‘Is something wrong?'” Affleck continued.

The comedian then told the actor that there might be a reason for his “resting b***h face,” to which Ben humorously replied, “B***h?! Now, now I have a resting hard face.”
