Taylor Swift says she had “the best audience ever” at Milan Eras Tour shows

The latest Eras Tour performances have been a new high point for Taylor Swift. Following her two concerts in Milan, the 34-year-old pop singer gushed about the crowds at the San Siro Stadium on Instagram on Monday (July 15) – even going so far as to name some of her favorite crowds of her career.

“WOW. MILAN,” Swift began her post. “Those were truly two of my favorite audience members ever. The passion and generosity you guys showed us… it was a dream come true to perform for you.”

The “Anti-Hero” singer also shared a carousel of photos from her consecutive performances in Italy, including a snapshot of a brand new Fearless Era dress that she wore at her first Milan show on Saturday (July 13). “Grazi mille!!,” she added. “We’ll be back!! 🇮🇹 🫶”

Swift’s time in the city was full of memorable moments, including the acoustic sections featuring mashups of “The 1” and “Wonderland,” “I Almost Do” and “The Moment I Knew,” “Mr. Perfectly Fine” and “Red,” and “Getaway Car” featuring “Out of the Woods.” The shows did have a few hilarious blips, however, with the 14-time Grammy winner once swallowing a bug on stage.

“I knew it was going to happen because there are so many bugs here tonight,” she told the laughing crowd. “I just need to cough a little bit.”

At another point, Swift’s iconic flower-painted piano suffered a malfunction, requiring a crew member to accompany her onstage to examine the inside. “You know what, we finally broke it,” she joked. “We finally broke this thing.”

Luckily, she and her assistant managed to get the keyboard playable again. “I did it!” she squealed with a grin after successfully closing the lid.

Swift will next perform three back-to-back shows in Gelsenkirchen from July 17-20, after which she’ll travel through Hamburg and Munich. Once the European leg of her Eras tour is over, she’ll return to the US and Canada for one final victory lap in November and December.
