Lil Wayne appears to rap “They Don’t Like Us” while singing a Drake song

Lil Wayne has caused an uproar on social media as fans speculate whether he rapped Kendrick Lamar’s “They Not Like Us” during one of his recent performances.

During his performance in Las Vegas, Wayne held up an OVO pendant and appeared to rap the words “They don’t like us” before beginning his collaboration with Drake. The motto.

Fans are debating online whether Weezy was siding with Drake or Kendrick Lamar, as it’s hard to tell which lyrics he was actually rapping. “He’s showing love for both sides, he’s not in it…” one fan reacts. “He’s making fun of the song!
“Don’t you see the owl necklace? Don’t you hear him rapping to Drake’s song?” another responds.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” scores another win as it gets a mural in Compton. ABC7 spoke to muralist Mike Norice about the project.

“I painted it on Monday and the process is going very quickly. I was here every morning from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at about 6 a.m.,” Norice told the outlet.

“I want to show people in the Watts-Compton community and in this area that you can achieve anything,” Norice said. The artist noted that the mural has become a landmark of the celebrations in Compton. “A lot of people came because the video is so popular, but they didn’t necessarily have an image connection to the video. And now there is that image connection: This is where I came from and now I am here.”

The hit single could also be in line for a Grammy nomination. In a recent interview with TMZ, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. talked about the record’s Grammy potential.

“It’s clearly a great record, an incredible piece of artistry,” said Mason Jr. “Great lyrics… Incredible.” He also noted Lamar’s previous Grammy success. “There’s an artist who’s been nominated before,” noted Mason Jr. “He’s been successful in organizing… I don’t see any reason why that couldn’t be the case.”
