Famous streamer Kai Cenat comes to Shreveport

Shreveport is excited as we approach 50 Cent Humor & Harmony Festival in August, with packed participant lists for the Humor & Harmony Concert that Big Bowl Comedy Show, and scheduled appearances from a huge list of celebrities. One of those scheduled appearances is that of three-time Streamer Awards winner Kai Cenat.

If this is your first time hearing the name Kai Cenat, let us bring you up to speed on the famous Twitch streamer. Kai started his career as an influencer in 2018 when he was still in high school, and over time he gained a following by creating reaction and prank videos. Later, Kai dropped out of college in 2020 to focus on his growing role as a content creator. In 2021, Cenat started focusing on his Twitch streaming channel, where he streamed himself gaming and chatting with viewers.

Kai Cenat’s streams started to gain popularity starting in April 2022 when he started inviting famous rappers as guest stars on his streams, starting with the infamous rapper Bobby Shmurda. Later that same year, Lil Baby and 21 Savage were also featured on his streams, all of which helped make Kai’s channel one of the most popular on the platform.

If you don’t know Kai from his streams, chances are you know him because he either accidentally incited a riot in New York City or because he helped launch the Oxford Word of the Year 2023. In August 2024, Kai did a live stream in New York City giving away Playstation 5 gaming consoles at Union Square, and quickly thousands of fans stormed Union Square, requiring the New York Police Department to intervene as the gathering quickly degenerated into a riot. Kai was arrested and charged with inciting a riot, but the charges were later dropped when Kia paid the city over $50,000 in restitution.
