According to several reports, a commander of the Iran-backed Lebanese terrorist army Hezbollah was eliminated in a targeted air strike along the Lebanese-Syrian border on Monday afternoon.

The suspected Israeli drone attack targeted a BMW X5 carrying two people near the Syrian town of as-Saboura, close to the border with Lebanon.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a vehicle with Lebanese license plates exploded near the Al-Masna’a border crossing on the border between Syria and Lebanon.

This is the second targeted airstrike in the region in less than two weeks.

On July 9, Israel assassinated senior arms importer Yasser Nimer Qarnabash “Amin” (also known as Abu Fadal or Hajj Amin), a former bodyguard of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.

Qarnabash was responsible for transporting weapons from Iran via Syria to the terrorist organization in Lebanon and commanded Hezbollah’s operations in Marjaayoun in 2000.

The terrorist was eliminated in an airstrike on his car on the Damascus-Beirut highway.

According to Israeli news channel Channel 12 News, one of the targets of the attack was Mohammed Bara’a, a high-ranking Hezbollah politician close to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The second man in the attacked vehicle was Bara’a Katerji, a well-known Syrian businessman, according to several sources familiar with the Reuters news agency.
