Roku and Sony Pictures Television announced a streaming deal on July 15 to bring the NFL Media series “GMFB: Overtime,” a new two-hour daily show, to the Roku Channel.

“GMFB: Overtime” is a complement to “Good Morning Football,” a daily program that has aired on NFL Network for seven years. The new ad-supported streaming series will be available for free Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon EST starting July 29.

Distributed by Sony Pictures Television in Los Angeles, GMFB: Overtime covers daily NFL action with news from around the league, interviews with players, coaches, executives and celebrities, and informative and entertaining discussions on the issues that matter most to NFL fans.

“This is an exciting milestone in our evolving partnership with the NFL,” Joe Franzetta, Roku Media’s chief sports officer, said in a statement.

“Roku is the ideal distribution partner for this show because of the company’s understanding of how the NFL can drive viewership and create authentic fan engagement,” added Flory Bramnick, EVP, Distribution, Sony Pictures Television.

The original edition of the Emmy Award-winning “Good Morning Football” continues to air Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m. EST on NFL Network and returns Monday, July 29.

“Good Morning Football” and “GMFB: Overtime” are produced by NFL Media, with showrunners Bill Hentschel and Becky Orenstein and Angela Ellis, vice president of original content and entertainment at NFL Media, serving as executive producer.

Seven-time Emmy Award winner Michael Davies of SPT-backed Embassy Row serves as executive producer on both series. SPT is handling U.S. distribution of GMFB: Overtime and CBS Media Ventures is selling the advertising inventory.
