King Paluta is blessed, but his singing voice is nonsense

Ghanaian entertainment critic and artiste manager, Kwaku Osei Koranteng Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, has shared his thoughts on the singing skills of Ghana’s newest music sensation, King Paluta.

In his review during a studio discussion on Accra-based station Asempa FM, KOKA King sharply criticized Paluta’s singing in his songs and described his singing voice as useless.

“His voice is not that great, he needs a voice coach to sing. His voice fluctuates during the song. The voice he uses to sing is useless. Singing requires a format. He has to sing in a certain key. He sings off key all the time and there are so many repetitions,” noted KOKA.

However, he recognized the potential and talent of the “Aseda” singer.

He advised King Paluta to seek inspiration and learn from established artistes like Castro, Kofi Kinaata, Amerado and Sarkodie.

“His songs are good and the production quality of the songs is good. He himself is good. I think he is blessed with singing. He should look at artistes like Castro, Kofi Kinaata, Amerado, Sarkodie etc and learn from them,” he said.

KOKA advised King Paluta to seek the help of a singing teacher to improve his skills.

“All he needs is a singing teacher, someone to teach him how to breathe and sing on the keys. And believe me, he will go far as an artist,” he explained.

King Paluta, also known as Thomas Adjei Wireko, is a Ghanaian rapper and singer who started his music career in the early 2000s. His songs often motivate the youth to succeed and his song “Sika Aba Fie” has gained remarkable popularity.

In 2024, King Paluta’s hit song “ASEDA” earned him four nominations at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) and the title of “Best New Artist”.
