On Monday morning, just hours after the public learned that Doherty had died of breast cancer at the age of 53, former “Charmed” star Brian Krause emotionally reacted to the news on the “House of Halliwell” rewatch podcast… co-hosted by Holly Marie Combs and Drew Fuller.

Doherty, of course, played an important role in “Charmed” from 1998 to 2001.

“It is with a heavy heart that I come to you this evening after learning the news of Shannen Doherty’s death only yesterday afternoon,” Krause began.

“I know all of us here in the Halliwell household… (and) around the world are shocked and devastated. (She was) too young, too talented, too loving, too grateful.”

Krause further confirmed that episodes of this podcast in which Doherty appeared Despite it intended for broadcast.

The recap of Monday’s episode reveals that the podcast was already in full swing before Doherty’s death on Saturday, July 13.

“This show, this character, this podcast meant so much to Shannen that she couldn’t wait to share it with Charmed fans everywhere,” it said.

“We want to honor her memory and fulfill Shannen’s wishes by airing the first five episodes she recorded before her death.

“She was excited about this project and proud to have played Prue Halliwell. We hope these episodes bring some comfort to all who loved her.”

We cannot currently confirm When Doherty’s first episode airs.

Meanwhile, Krause had trouble keeping his composure on Monday morning.

“It’s hard for me to say everything I want to say, so maybe I’ll leave you with this,” he continued.

“I know how grateful Shannen was, as I was fortunate enough to travel with her to many different places… and hear from her what touched her emotionally…

“Meeting the fans, hearing their stories and knowing how much it meant to you all was deeply fulfilling for her and I know she believed that The House of Halliwell was the little she could give back.”

As you can see from these tributes to Shannen Doherty, the star has left a lasting impression on almost everyone she has worked with.

Doherty was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in 2015, which later went into remission.

However, in a 2020 lawsuit against State Farm, she disclosed in court documents that she was “dying” of terminal cancer.

Then, in June last year, Doherty said the disease had spread to her brain.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of battling the disease,” Doherty’s rep told TMZ over the weekend.

“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones and her dog, Bowie. The family asks for privacy at this time so she can grieve in peace.”
