MELVILLE, NY, July 15, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Canon Solutions America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon USA, Inc., today announced the availability of a fully automated print-to-pallet production workflow using DigiTech’s Texas Series flatbed printers.

Manufactured by Infinite Motion Control, Inc., a company with extensive experience in industrial automation for digital printing and digital finishing, the automated inline “print and cut to pallet” workflow can help increase productivity by eliminating the user interaction normally required to produce a finished product. True to the slogan Texas Inline Solution: Print-Cut-Automate-SellThe improved, streamlined workflow can help reduce waste and save floor space.

Designed for medium to high-volume digital printing and finishing, this straightforward configuration solution enables hands-free material handling to avoid errors and material damage. The configuration can be combined with the already impressive operating speeds and features of the Texas Series printers, which include a reversible flow dual vacuum table with resolution up to 1,200 dpi and a maximum speed of up to 420 square meters per hour.

Available now, this automation workflow can help medium to large print shops introduce automation into the workflow to increase efficiency. Printed sheets from the Texas printers are automatically loaded into the T510 accumulator tray and held there until the integrated Vector 3200 feeder picks up the material from the tray using suction cups and feeds it to the Kongsberg C64 cutter (also available from Canon Solutions America).

Once the cut is complete, the iMS60 Cutter Stacker picks up the material from the Kongsberg C64 cutter and moves it onto a pallet. This means the operator only has to load the material into the printer while the solution takes care of the rest of the process until the material is placed on the pallet.

The T510 accumulator tray can handle materials up to 18 inches tall, is adjustable for panels from 4 x 8 to 5 x 10 feet, and can be moved between the Texas LT/X2 printer and the IMC V3200 Vector Feeder.

The V3200 Vector Feeder offers a maximum panel size of 5′ x 10′ in landscape orientation and a maximum panel weight of 50 pounds. The iMS60 Cutter Stacker offers a stack height of 51″ for finished material.

“We are excited to introduce a fully automated print-to-pallet production workflow from IMC that can help our customers expand their capacity to meet the ever-changing needs of their business,” said Peter P. Kowalczuk, President of Canon Solutions America. “The Texas Series printers already offer high speed, excellent precision and reliable quality, and the enhancements can help increase productivity.”
